Volkswagen of America has announced the US pricing details for the made in USA 2023 ID.4. The company has also shared that it recently started the production of the ID.4 at its new factory in Chattanooga, TN. In a press release, Volkswagen of America announced that the US-made 2023 ID.4 will start at an MSRP of $37,495, making it more affordable than its German-made predecessor and one of the most affordable fully electric crossover vehicles.
When you factor in the eligible $7,500 federal EV tax credit benefits, the 2023 ID.4 can be yours for just $29,995 before the destination fee. In comparison, the European-made 2021 and 2022 VW ID.4, sold earlier in the US, had a starting MSRP of over $41,000.

The new 2023 VW ID.4 will be offered in three trim levels – ID.4 Standard / ID.4 Pro, ID.4, ID.4 S / ID.4 Pro S / ID.4 Pro AWD S, and ID.4 Pro S Plus and ID.4 AWD Pro S Plus – with the option of a new 62 kWh and 82 kWh battery pack and rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.

Meanwhile, Volkswagen also announced that it has just started assembling the 2023 ID.4 at its Chattanooga, TN plant.
